Spinning is one of the hardest (to begin with) and most rewarding fitness classes around at the moment and over in the States, they have expanded on traditional spinning classes and added a fun factor to it. This new craze is known as Soulcycle.
The news of Soulcycle has spread throughout the UK and it was only a matter of time before this spinning craze hit our nation, and once you’ve successfully passed our gym instructor course and achieved your fitness qualifications, you could be the next Soulcycle instructor.
Soulcycle is a 45 minute high-intensity; low impact full body workout and the Beckham’s are huge fans of it! It’s a great fitness class for clients looking to tone up, strip fat and strengthen their core, and in an average workout, you can burn up to 800 calories. And here’s how it works:
The class studio will be a low-lit room with multi-coloured disco lights; this is then followed by a choice of upbeat music. The class will begin with a warm-up pedal to the beat of the music at high resistance pace, then at a lower resistance; you’ll double the pedalling. Of course, the class will still involve the traditional sitting and standing on the bike, which you could say was a different method of squatting. Throughout the class, the resistance is turned up and small kg arm weights are used for bicep and tricep curls – whilst pedalling. In other words, Soulcycle is a disco version of Spinning, with a few added exercises in between.
If this a class that you would like to instruct, then book onto our Focus Training’s Gym Instructor Course today and get your fitness qualifications at the ready for this new Spinning craze.
