The Great North Run is about six weeks away and if the warm weather continues, then it can prove to be quite the challenge, especially for first time half marathon runners. For those who haven’t done The Great North Run, the majority of the course is uphill and when you qualify from one of our personal training courses, you will no doubt be training your clients up for big running events.
If your client is training for a running event, whether it’s the London Marathon, The Great North Run or the Great Manchester 1OK run, then why not go running with them? It will help to keep your client motivated and determined not to give up, plus it will add a competitive element to the training. And make sure that they are eating the right food, drinking plenty of water and have the right training gear in place.
There will be a lot of sweat and tears involved when training for big running events, which is why it is important that you are there for support, as you’ll be your clients main point of call. You will have the fitness qualifications and a sufficient amount of knowledge from the personal training courses to successfully train your clients to complete the running event. And if they complete the course and even more so, within their targeted time frame, then that really will be one goal achievement that you can be proud of.
