Made Redundant? Gym’ll Fix It in 2009

Made Redundant? Gym’ll Fix It in 2009

One of the great things about working in the fitness industry is that you don’t have to start straight from school or university. Many people turn to fitness later, perhaps when their personal interest in health and wellbeing develops, or when they want to change career direction or, as is increasingly the case, when they are made redundant.

At Focus Training we have a range of courses that can quickly get you on the first ladder of a fulfilling career in fitness without any previous experience or fitness qualifications. It takes between just six and ten weeks to get a Central YMCA Level 2 certificate for gym instructor, circuit trainer or exercise to music instructor. You could soon be setting up your own business as a personal trainer, working at the local gym or earning extra money running evening and weekend fitness classes.

Last year 3,000 people throughout the UK achieved their qualifications through Focus Training. People with ages ranging from 17 to 67 years old. This is an expanding industry so more jobs are becoming available both in the UK and abroad. Take China for example, less than ten years ago in Beijing there were very few fitness centres. Today, however, there are between two and three hundred in that one city alone and many more will be opening to cope with the demand.

If you are interested in a new career in fitness, just pick up the phone and talk to one of our friendly advisers, they’ll be happy to help.
