Poor Diet Paves The Way To Ill Health

A recent study has shown that poor diet is the leading contributor to ill health in the UK. 12% of the burden of ill health has been linked to diet. Throw in the risk from being overweight and it’s over 20%. So what’s the problem? We eat too many calories, too much saturated fat, sugar and salt and not enough fibre. Making small, yet effective changes to the nation’s diets could prevent around 33,000 premature deaths every year. So, why are we continuing in the battle against diet-related health problems?
