In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.

The mission centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
