8 Ways To Get In Your Fitness Business Spotlight NOW!

If you want 2014 to be an even better year than the last, so that your hard work pays off and multiplies your profits, then one of the essential things you need to do is to get visible and get noticed by the right people and this means getting into your business spotlight.

Do you sometimes feel like the best-kept secret? Do you wish more people understood what you have to offer and what you can do for your clients?

Being fantastic at what you do, having the knowledge and expertise to help your clients, creating amazing programmes and products to offer …this is great but it will all be for nothing unless the right people know you exist! If nobody knows you’re out there, then you don’t get to make any sales and nothing happens. But the more you can connect with the right people for your services – your ideal clients – the more opportunities there are for your business to grow.

You need to get noticed which means shining a big bright light on yourself and on what it is you do for your clients. That’s your business spotlight. And you need to do it now. Don’t wait for January because getting noticed is just the start of the process of generating clients and income. People rarely become your high paying clients overnight. They need to get to know you, like you, and trust that you’re the right expert to help them.

I’m going to share 8 ways you can do this now but you don’t need to do them all! The important thing is for you to select the options that are a good fit for you. So here are some of my top strategies for getting in your business spotlight now.

 

Blog

Write a blog post – a short article of maybe 500-800 words – on a hot topic for your ideal clients. Post it on your blog website and you’ll start to get found. Google loves new content and provided it has the key words that your clients are using to search for information and solutions – they’ll start to find you.  Don’t have your own blog website yet? No problem. Be a guest blogger on someone else’s website. Find another expert who serves your kind of people and offer to contribute some posts for them.

 

Leave The Gym, The Studio or The “Office”

Go and meet people beyond your usual hangouts. Go to events, go to networking meetings, go anywhere where you get to shine a light on yourself and your business. Think of places where your ideal clients might be hanging out and also find opportunities to communicate with other experts, business owners and professionals because great opportunities can arise from these connections. Go there armed with your powerful message, your powerful self-intro and find the opportunities to share what you do with the right people.

 

Make A Video

It doesn’t need to be expensive or flashy – just you sharing your message and some valuable content for your tribe. You could do it on your phone, your camera, or your computer and upload it to your YouTube channel and away you go.

 

 Be Part Of The News!

There are so many online and offline news sites, all hungry for good stories, good editorial. Remember these guys have to fill their paper or radio or site with content every single day. Chances are they’ll be grateful to hear from you. So call them and let them know what you’re doing. Identify the current hot topics and see where you can add your own perspective.  Look for the connections with what you do.

 

Tell Your Own Story

We all have a story to tell – a story about how we came to be doing what we do and it’s these stories that help us connect with our ideal clients. So tell your story and put it on your website in writing or create a short video or audio piece. You could even get someone to interview you so you can share your story. Then send it out to your tribe.

 

Do An Interview

Find an expert you admire and interview them about something that would be of real interest and value to your market.  You could interview a client who’s had great results working with you and get them to share their story, their challenges and their results. Or get someone to interview you as a way for sharing your story or for sharing some top tips on a relevant topic. Record it and share it.

 

Share and Be Proud on Social Media

If you have a great client story or if you’ve done something or learned something that would be relevant, valuable and interesting to your target audience, then share it on social media. Show why you are the “Go To” expert in your niche market.

 

Run An Awesome Competition

How about giving yourself away? Maybe you have a product or a service you can offer as a prize. You could run a competition for people on your existing database if you have one.   Alternatively you could promote your competition on social media and local press. This is a great way to gain exposure and generate new interest in your market.

 

The key here is to take action. Don’t wait to be asked. Don’t wait for permission. If you’ve got a service that makes a difference, then you need to make some noise about it and make sure that everyone who needs it knows you exist!
